ode on crubeens

the pig's feet are boiled
& cost eighty bits
apiece

eaten by hungry
fingers
free forks

by teeth decaying
buildings hanging
an industrialized cityscape
in the framing of a
dutch angle

the economic boot
of colonialism
grinds deep
on the neck of erinn
